INSIDE STORY

CLIMBER

The Flame of Youth with Myles

With the flame of youth he carried in his spirit and his confident career moves, American model Myles Pimental was a candidate for being the new face of Climber B.C. Black&rsquos new season. And that is just what happened. Represented by different agencies in New York, Milano and Toronto Myles was a favorite of big fashion houses like Versace. We had a fast and entertaining interview with Myles between sets and as we talked we got the opportunity to discover his warm personality up close.

When and how were you discovered?

One day my friends and I were really bored so we sent a bunch of my pictures completely for fun to a local agency. A model scout took me to New York and introduced me to big agencies. I was 19 and I can say everything started from here.

Do you remember your first fashion house experience? How was it?

It was an unbelievable experience. I participated in a fashion week in Vienna. The lights, the designer&rsquos backstage, the crowds&hellip Everything was very amazing. I was only in high school and I felt like I had stepped into a very big world. I was starting to become a part of something.

Is there anything you want to do in the near future?

I am interested in music as well as modeling. Maybe I will have the chance to share my music and my art with the world for the first time.

Do you feel like modeling is a privilege?

Yes, it could be! It is a profession that has a lot of luxury involved in it. You get to travel the world more than in any other profession maybe. This is amazing on its own isn&rsquot it?

What kind of balance do you have between your professional life and your private life?

I mostly use the time I have left over from the photo sessions and appointments to do music or I hang out with my friends. Our job is nice but stressful too. So I practice whatever comforts me.

What kind of music do you make?

I could say I do music that is between hip-hop and dubstep. It is not really pop. Maybe we could call it postmodern pop. No matter what I can it this is actually just about expressing yourself.

What was the first thing you learned in the industry as a model?

I learned that I needed to work hard. It is not just about posing. You have to &lsquoexpend&rsquo a lot to be inspired. Of course I am talking about culture!

Who and what are your fashion icons?

Andy Warhol, Chanel.

Climber&rsquos new season theme is ?Hearing Colors&rdquo. What do you think about the collection?

The first thing that caught my attention in the Climber collection was the materials. There is real compatibility involved here. The jeans are very fitted. You body is comfortable in them. You can dance in them! Quite cool.

How is the photo shoot going for you?

There is great team playing here. Everything is fun. I am really having a good time.

What is the part you like most about your job?

I travel the world. Plus I have enough time left over to do music. This is another big plus for me. And I get to meet a lot of beautiful women! (he laughs)

What are the must-haves in your wardrobe?

I am a big sneaker fan. I have a lot of shoes I can wear to almost anything. I especially can&rsquot go without mentioning my blue tone suede shoes.

What do you family and loved ones think about your profession?

They have always supported me and found my job to be exciting. They still do.

Is there anything you are crazy about?

Music of course! I love discovering different instruments and the music of the world. It is a good thing I have the circulation in my life to be able to do this. I travel from country to country.

Had you been to Istanbul before?

This is the first time.

How is it going?

So far everything is perfect. I had the chance to go to a Turkish bath. I had gone to one in New York before but it was very different. The baths in Istanbul are amazing. Plus I am very impressed with the works of Mimar Sinan. It was very pleasant touring Sultanahmet and Aghia Sophia.

What is next for you?

I will be working and travelling the world and continuing to develop my music. I am working on a project but it is not definite yet. I am still at the deciding stage. Anyway you will hear about it when it happens.

Luck is on Marco&rsquos Side!

Polish model Marco Noviello got acquainted with the runway completely by coincidence. It is a good thing a model scout saw him and presented him to the whole world. Under the rebellious and sharp image of Marco lies a real &lsquohard worker&rsquo. This must be the real reason for his success. We had a pleasant interview with Marco, who posed for the camera for the Climber B.C. Sartorial collection.

When and how were you discovered?

I was working at a bar at the time. One of my customers turned out to be a model scout and gave me a card. He asked me what I thought about modeling. Then you can guess the rest. Everything happened very fast and I got to where I am now.

Do you remember your first fashion house experience? How was it?

I am from Poland and my first Photo Shoot was for a Polish brand. I remember really panicking! (Laughing) It was an exciting experience. But we got good pictures out of it

Is there anything you want to do in the near future?

I think I want to explore life more.

Do you feel like modeling is a privilege?

It is true that we travel a lot and constantly meet new people. This is the good part of the job that you can see. On the other hand you can&rsquot let yourself go and you have to work very hard. I am not sure this part of the profession is a privilege.

What kind of balance do you have between your professional life and your private life?

Somehow you adapt quickly and manage to catch the optimum compatibility between the two lives. I can&rsquot say that I have had difficulty up to now because I am a hard working person.

What was the first thing you learned in the industry as a model?

I learned that I need to be patient. You are always having to wait for something. You waste a lot of time waiting.

Who and what are your fashion icons?

Sorry but I don&rsquot have any fashion icon!

Climber&rsquos new season theme is ?Hearing Colors&rdquo. What do you think about the collection?

The designs definitely offer a comfort that encircles the body. Denim is my life, that is why I think I like them best.

How is the photo shoot going for you?

A very dynamic collection has been prepared and the shoot is being done with the same energy. Everyone is very polite and happy. This energy is reflected on every stage of the work no doubt. An therefore on me too!

What is the part you like most about your job?

Travel, travel, travel&hellip

What are the must-haves in your wardrobe?

My denims, my t-shirts and my Nike sneakers.

What do you family and loved ones think about your profession?

At first they were bewildered too but they got used to it over time and supported me whenever I needed it. I think they are proud of me.

Is there anything you are crazy about?

My family and my friends are vital to me.

Had you been to Istanbul before?

No I am here for the first time.

How is it going?

I would have preferred to be here longer but it is still very nice. Next time I will be more prepared. I will definitely come again.

What is next for you?

I do not know for sure. Most likely I will be traveling to another country I don&rsquot know yet for another shoot. Maybe India, maybe China. Who knows maybe I will go back to Europe.
